Mechanical Technician Job Description 

We are in search of a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for updating service and repair records, maintaining machinery, and conducting diagnostic tests to ensure peak performance of our equipment.

Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:

– Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
– Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve mechanical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
– Record Keeping: Document processes and maintain accurate service records for all mechanical work.
– Parts Management: Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, ensuring timely replenishment.
– Efficiency Optimization: Adjust machinery and equipment settings to optimize mechanical efficiency.
– Training and Safety: Train colleagues on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.
– Work Environment: Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to industry regulations.

Mechanical Technician Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MIT) or a related field.
• Experience: At least two years of experience as a mechanical technician in a relevant industry.
• Technical Knowledge: Extensive understanding of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Software Proficiency: Skilled in using mechanical design and diagnostic testing software.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
