About The Job
The Human Resources Manager role at Delta Air Lines presents a rare opportunity to have a significant impact in field HR support for an assigned client group. As the HR Manager for the In-Flight Services Division, your responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient and consistent delivery of human resources services, such as mentoring and counseling employees and management, sourcing and selection, performance management programs, organizational effectiveness, compensation, and providing HR leadership. This role will be based in New York City at the JFK airport, providing you with the chance to collaborate with a world-class team and contribute to our company’s achievements.
Key responsibilities:
- Anticipating and meeting client needs
- Managing service delivery systems
- Crafting coordinated solutions to business problems or issues.
- Acting as an employee and company advocate that can balance decision making appropriately.
- Developing relationships with individuals, employee groups, and leaders of the business to communicate company policies, programs, and procedures.
- Providing leadership around organizational change, process consultation, and organizational development
- Imparting HR expertise to management personnel and influencing clients based on company policy.
- Focusing on positive employee relations and applicable laws
- Serving as a project lead/representative for corporate projects, managing timelines, and working with cross-divisional teams to develop both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
- This job supports employees in a 24/7 operation with multiple locations and will require up to 40% travel with some overnight travel included.
- Salary range for this role: $80500 – $189000 annually.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
- 5-10 years of HR Manager Experience supporting a business unit (or equivalent years of experience) is required.
- Broad understanding of human resources areas including compensation, benefits, employment, employee/labor relations, training/development, equal employment opportunity, and organizational development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and management presence
- Adaptability and the ability to work successfully across business unit lines and at all levels.
- Effective platform/presentation skills and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and the capability to effectively guide and impact decision-making processes.
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure with complex issues, and meet deadlines and objectives.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Encourages a diverse range of individuals, perspectives, and styles.
- Demonstrates a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, or equivalent experience.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
