ROLE:

The Graphic Design intern will collaborate directly with the Graphic Design Manager and Graphic Designer to help execute design solutions, create engaging dynamic and digital media, as well as other print and digital materials. This is part-time temporary position; 20hours a week for no less than three months.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creates visual and dynamic media for marketing campaigns, product launches, social media content, website assets, email marketing, and more, that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way under the guidance of the Graphic Design Manager.
• Chooses graphics and stock photography, as appropriate.
• Assist with the editing of photography and conduct image retouching to ensure a consistent visual style and enhance product presentation.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, or other similar design software. After Effects or other similar motion graphics software is a plus.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field along with a desire to learn, research and improve skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current enrollment in a BA in Graphic Design or another related field.
• Present a portfolio of work to prove graphic design abilities and skills.
• Self-motivated and organized.
