About The Job
At Eppo, we are building the future of experimentation, so that every company can have an entrepreneurial, customer oriented culture. We believe that AB experiments uniquely put customers at the center of product decisions instead of political processes.
Our next-gen platform allows companies to 10x their volume of AB experiments by embracing the full technical rigor of engineering and statistics while focusing intensely on the evangelism of results and accessibility to business users. We are built for the modern cloud infrastructure, with easy integrations and an emphasis on privacy and security.
Our team is made up of veteran product builders from Airbnb, Slack, and Snowflake, and our product is powering experimentation at some of top companies around the world. We’ve raised over $19M in Seed and Series A funding backed by top-tier venture firms like Menlo VC and Amplify Partners.
About the Role
Eppo’s People Team is responsible for building a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment where employees can hone their craft and drive impact in every role. As we scale, our programs and processes must also evolve so that both tenured and new employees can continue doing their best work.
As our very first Employee Experience Manager (and People Team Member #4!), you will report to our Head of People and be a true partner in ideating, crafting, executing, and nurturing a broad range of initiatives across the employee lifecycle. Cultivating and continuously elevating Eppo’s employee experience will be your north star. You will get to exercise creativity in building fun, engaging people programs for a fully distributed team, while introducing process and structure where necessary.
What you’ll do
- Be the operational mastermind behind the full employee lifecycle, from welcoming and supporting new hires through their onboarding experience, to providing a smooth transition during offboarding, and everything in between. You’ll be the go to for employee questions each step of the way.
- Be the connective tissue across Eppo’s distributed workforce. You will keep a close pulse on employee feedback, trends, and pain points across all levels of the organization, and use this as inspiration for continuous enhancements to existing programs, people ops processes, and the overall employee experience.
- Be the creative brains and executor of company and team events, including all hands, company-wide and team offsites, and other social activities (both in-person and virtual!)
- Be a trusted partner to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (Recruiting, Finance) in identifying opportunities, sharing insights, and communicating organizational updates.
What you’ll bring to the team
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in people operations or employee experience in a startup environment, where you’ve developed and nurtured internal processes and creative programs to engage a distributed workforce.
- Self-starter attitude with strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and high EQ.
- Strong team-player who is comfortable collaborating across all levels of the organization, acting as a trusted partner for all things People and providing quality support across all touch points of the employee experience.
- Successful project management experience in a growth stage organization – from conception to execution – with a keen ability to balance competing priorities and discern important vs. urgent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, facilitation, and executive presence.
- Experience organizing and facilitating events with flawless execution (or close to; things always come up but you are able to pivot and tackle headwinds with swiftness and grace)
- Experience with modern HRIS (Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR)
Attributes
- Entrepreneurial mindset: you are comfortable making choices in ambiguous situations, and think of the team’s success and failure as your own. You have a can-do attitude; no task is too small.
- Social: you easily form trusting relationships. Your converse not just as a transaction, but as a way to build bonds and accomplish great things together.
- High-bandwidth communicator: You always hear what others say, and what they don’t say. You consistently have value adding, trust building conversations with people of all backgrounds and experience levels
- Resourceful: Building and cultivating culture at an early stage requires novel, personalized touches and also established playbooks. We have an incredible team, mission, and network, which you can use to its fullest. You’re also able to refer to your own resources, networks, and out-of-the box ideas toward achieving outcomes.
Compensation
- Competitive salary including early team equity
- Top of the line health, dental, and vision insurance
- New laptop/equipment of your choice and whatever else you need to be productive
- Compensation for learning materials, tools and resources to help you learn and grow
