Job Overview
As the Assistant Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for leading all downstream, delivery related operations across the country. Your performance would be measured on key parameters such as customer satisfaction, On-time Delivery, MIS reporting, Safety, and last mile logistics costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of 15 members, including drivers and planners.
- Leading last-mile deliveries for all UAE.
- Responsible for Last Mile system (currently Locus), including new features implementation, correct system setup, master data reliability, reporting.
- Developing Logistics department KPIs, such as route adherence, On Time delivery, KM adherence, Fuel consumption, safety.
- Consolidate & organize data, and prepare weekly/monthly reports to be presented to the management team.
- Managing last mile total cost and cost per order, while suggesting optimization initiatives to reduce delivery costs.
- Daily COD collection by drivers to be reconciled and handed over to Finance team.
- Daily drivers incentive calculation based on agreed terms.
- Responsible for collection of customer returns based on SLA.
- Responsible for timely action and closure on system generated tickets.
- Monthly recon of total orders delivered/return and confirmation to finance team.
- Performance tracking of 3PL and conduct monthly review meeting with all 3PLs.
- Responsible for last-mile delivery team SLA success ratio.
- Resolving customer issues within timelines and enhancing the customer experience.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing TPS’s full vehicle fleet. Manage vehicle utilization, preventive maintenance, leasing agreements, payments, fines and accidents/incidents, reporting.
- Cross functional coordination and task tracking.
- Working as a part of project teams to plan and implement new initiatives.
- Mentoring and coaching the team on a regular basis.
- Monitoring performance target to the team.
- Conduct Periodic Audits on process and Fleet management.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience of logistics operations and last mile in UAE.
- Excellent team management skills specifically with last mile delivery teams.
- Data Driven decisions with strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Expert in MS-office.
- Strong knowledge in last mile app (Preferred Locus app Experience).
- Managing 3PL, contracts, Negotiations.
- Petty cash handling.
